Kudos from 1977 to 2007

The Conseil régional de l’environnement et du développement durable de l’Outaouais (CREDDO) presented the Clean Air Day Award to the STO for its outstanding contribution to promoting clean air through implementation of the FIDÉLITÉ Program.

The Association of Consulting Engineers of Quebec presented Roche Ltd, Consulting Group and the STO with a Léonard trophy in the telecommunications and new technologies category for the Info Plus system.

The Association québécoise du transport et des routes (AQTR) presented the STO and Roche Ltd, Consulting Group with an award of excellence in the technology innovation category for implementation of the Info Plus variable message system.

The STO was recognized by Outaouais Tourism as the public tourism company of the year at the 21st gala of the Grands Prix du tourisme de l’Outaouais.

The STO received a plaque of recognition from Service Intégration Travail Outaouais (SITO) recognizing its commitment and contribution when it comes to hiring immigrant workers and helping them enter the labour force.

The STO received AQTR’s 2005 public transit award in the technology innovation category for the arrangements introduced along Alexandre-Taché in the Hull sector.

CUTA presented bus driver Richard Beausoleil with a national Employee Excellence Award.

CUTA presented the STO with a national Innovation Award highlighting the excellence of its FIDÉLITÉ Program.

The Outaouais chamber of commerce and industry (CCIO) named Georges O. Gratton, General Manager of the STO, the person of the month for February 2003.

Georges O. Gratton, General Manager of the STO, was the recipient of the Executive of the Year – Public Sector award at the annual Gala du Regroupement des Gens d’Affaires (RGA) de la Capitale nationale.

Mérite du français award from the OQLF

The STO received a Mérite du français award in the language of commerce and business category given out by Quebec’s Office de la langue française. The STO received this national distinction for the quality of the French in communications related to implementation of the contactless smart card on its bus system.

The Outaouais chambre of commerce and industry honoured the STO with the Distinction d’Excellence des Institutions award for 2001.

The STO featured in the Vedette des bons coups en français

Recognized for the quality of the French in public communications related to implementation of the smart card, the STO was featured in an infomercial organized by the Office québécois de la langue française (OQLF) published in seven daily papers across Quebec.

Transport 2000 Quebec recognized the STO’s various achievements by giving it the Orange award in January 2000. This award recognizes the excellent services offered by the STO and the competence of its human resources.

Mérite de la pomme d’or awarded by the City of Hull

This recognition highlights the STO’s involvement in the community. The award was handed out at a softball tournament organized by employees to help the Bébé-bonheur organization.

The STO received a national award as Canada’s Transit System of the Year, handed out by CUTA. This award is the highest honour that can be bestowed in the Canadian urban transit industry.

The STO was a finalist for the 1997 Prix d’excellence granted by the Outaouais chamber of commerce and industry.
