Event partnership
Transportation is a key aspect of an event's success. As an expert in urban mobility, the Société de transport de l'Outaouais (STO) proposes public transit solutions that ensure fluid and safe access to sites. The cooperation of event organizers in the planning of the offer of transportation services is central to the success of these partnerships.
In addition to opting for a practical, eco-responsible and economic transportation solution for getting to the event, participants can avoid the inconveniences of traffic and parking. This significantly enhances customer satisfaction and the event's success.
Services offered
1. Offer of access to the regular routes and paratransit services
Must meet the following conditions:
- offer of efficient and effective regular route service near the site;
- shortage of parking near the site(s);
- wish to offer added value and/or an exclusive offer to STO customers; and
- combined communication efforts by both parties to promote the use of the regular routes.
2. Offer of dedicated transportation (shuttle)
Must meet the following conditions:
- large number of participants (general public);
- shortage of parking near the site(s);
- possible interference with regular system operations (including impeding traffic);
- safety of spectators near the site(s);
- wish to offer added value and/or an exclusive offer to STO customers;
- combined communication efforts by both parties to promote the use of dedicated transportation; and
- the partner is prepared to cover the costs of the shuttle at the current partnership rate.
3. Combined offer: offer of access to the regular routes and paratransit combined with an offer of dedicated transportation (shuttle).
Must meet the conditions of the previous two offers (1 and 2).
4. Package deals: integration of the transportation fare at the time of purchase of the ticket or wristband to the event into a package or exclusive offer to members.
Must meet the following conditions:
- integrate the transportation fare into the partner's admission fee;
- find a way to distribute the transportation tickets sold before the event;
- wish to offer added value and/or an exclusive offer to STO customers; and
- combined communication efforts by both parties to promote the use of public transit during the event.
