Route 20 - Modified route and schedule

Bus route 20, which was to run along Bank, Queen and Lyon starting January 2 in anticipation of service to the O Train's future Lyon station, cannot be changed as planned due to the delay in the light rail line.

However, this bus route will still change in the downtown areas as set out below, starting January 2, 2019:

Modified route - Ottawa direction

  • Buses on this route will no longer take the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge to downtown Ottawa. For riders who usually stayed on the bus to get to Ottawa, this route will now take the Portage Bridge, and then run along Wellington and Rideau. Riders can get off along these streets, but on the opposite of the street.
  • Riders who got off near the museum, or on Allumettières or Maisonneuve, should get off no later than the corner of Hôtel-de-ville and Laurier, where it will be possible to continue on foot or to take another bus route from Promenade du Portage, Place d'Accueil or the Canadian Museum of History.
  • Riders who got off on King Edward will now be able to stay on the bus, which will take the Portage Bridge and Wellington and Rideau, to the terminus on Rideau near King Edward. Riders can also take another bus route from Promenade du Portage, Place d'Accueil or the Canadian Museum of History.

Schedule changes

  • Schedule will be adjusted in both directions.
