Rapibus Stations

The Rapibus is a two-way corridor more than 14.8 km long that is reserved exclusively for buses. It links Lorrain and Alexandre-Taché boulevards and provides service to the downtown areas of the Hull sector and Ottawa along reserved lanes.

At all stations:

Safety

  • Safe pedestrian crossing over the Rapibus lanes
  • Surveillance cameras
  • Emergency intercoms connected to the STO control centre

Accessibility

  • Tactile warning strip along the loading and unloading platforms to mark the edge of the area where buses circulate
  • Audio and/or visual system on the buses to announce the next stop
  • Access ramps to accommodate wheelchairs
  • Furniture placement that takes into account the space needed for wheelchair users
  • Push buttons to open the doors to enclosed waiting areas

  • A name, a place, an identity. A concept on panels that highlights the history and heritage of each neighbourhood around a station.

Located in the heart of the Gatineau sector, this is the key Rapibus station, handling the greatest number of buses and riders. At 7,300 square feet, it is the largest of all the stations.

A work of art created by artist Marie-France Brière, titled Moraine.
