The STO and the Syndicat uni du transport – local 591 agree to arbitration

Gatineau, Thursday, March 30, 2017, the parties have reached an agreement to enter arbitration to break the deadlock in talks with the mediator appointed by the Labour Minister. Consequently, all pressure tactics will end immediately. The collective agreement and working conditions in effect will continue to apply. The Société and the union have committed to continue discussions in order to reach a negotiated agreement and to submit their dispute to an arbitrator as part of a “last offer, best offer” process should certain issues remain in dispute. No other statement will be issued.
