Area Served

The Société de transport de l'Outaouais (STO) provides public transit throughout the City of Gatineau, which covers the Buckingham, Masson-Angers, Gatineau, Hull and Aylmer sectors, as well as downtown Ottawa.

Many stops and specific transfer points identified in Gatineau also allow riders to connect to the OC Transpo system that serves Ottawa, and the Transcollines system that provides service in the MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais area consisting of Chelsea, Cantley, Val-des-Monts and La Pêche.

See the STO transit map.

The STO offers a variety of transit passes and tickets for riders, many of which can be used to transfer between the different public transit systems. Visit the pages on interoperability with OC Transpo and interoperability with Transcollines to learn more.

The STO also offers a number of amenities for its riders, and  preferential measures have been introduced to improve the service provided for residents, such as park-and-rides, reserved lanes, and notably the Rapibus corridor. To find out more about this two-way corridor reserved exclusively for buses that links Lorrain to Alexandre-Taché, with service to the downtown areas of the Hull sector and Ottawa, visit What is the Rapibus corridor.
