Plateau and Manoir des Trembles sectors

The Plateau sector has grown significantly in the past few years, leading to increased demands on the STO.

The modifications are designed to streamline the system on boulevard du Plateau during the week. Service levels will be adjusted for peak periods to support the increased demand. Streamlining peak period service will also make it easier to adjust frequencies in the future.

Route 22

  • his route will be discontinued because the service will be provided by the modified route 26 circuit. Routes 23 and 25 are other options for the sector's residents.

Route 23

  • Major change: the current circuit will be modified between boulevard de l'Europe and the downtowns via rue de l'Atmosphère, boulevard du Plateau, boulevard des Allumettières, rue Saint-Rédempteur, rue Wellington and rue Eddy, before resuming its current circuit to the Portage Bridge. During afternoon peak periods, starting from Terrasses de la Chaudière, the route will take rue Montcalm, boulevard des Allumettières, boulevard du Plateau and rue de l'Atmosphère, before resuming its current circuit between boulevard de l'Europe and boulevard d'Amsterdam;
  • Buses will run every 30 minutes during peak periods;
  • The schedule for this route will be aligned with that for route 25, providing for a combined frequency of every 15 minutes on their common portion;
  • In downtown Ottawa, the circuit will be the same as for route 25.

Route 24

  • This route will be discontinued because the service will be provided by the modified route 32 circuit.

Route 25

  • This route's circuit will not change;
  • Buses will run every 30 minutes during peak periods;
  • The schedule for this route will be aligned with that for route 23, providing for a combined frequency of every 15 minutes on their common portion.

Route 26

  • Major change: the current circuit will be modified between the intersection of rue de l'Atmosphère and boulevard des Grives and the downtowns. Mornings, buses will run along rue de l'Atmosphère, boulevard du Plateau, boulevard Saint-Raymond and boulevard Alexandre-Taché, and will resume its current circuit to downtown Ottawa reprendra son trajet actuel jusqu'au centre-ville d'Ottawa, reversing course in the afternoons;
  • The route 26 terminal will be modified in the afternoon, ending at the intersection of chemin Pink and rue de la Gravité, but will continue to serve boulevard des Grives and chemin de la Montagne;
  • Buses will run every 30 minutes during peak periods;
  • The modified circuit for route 26 will maintain the link between the northeast end of the Plateau district and UQO.

Route 28

  • This route's circuit will not change.

Route 29

  • This route's circuit will not change;
  • Buses will run every 30 minutes during peak periods.

Route 34

  • Major change: all route 34 buses will serve the Allumettières park-and-ride via boulevard des Allumettières and chemin Vanier before resuming their current circuit in the Plateau district and Manoir-des-Trembles;
  • Buses going in the direction of the Allumettières park-and-ride will serve rue Katimavik and rue de Seto;
  • Buses will run every 30 minutes weekdays outside peak periods and weekends;
  • The schedule for this route will be aligned with that for route 32, providing for a combined frequency of every 15 minutes at certain times of the week;
  • Only route 34 will run evenings and weekends.

Route 134

  • Route 134 will be discontinued.

Route 32

  • New route: this route will provide a more direct link between the Plateau sector and the downtowns via rue de Seto, chemin Vanier, boulevard du Plateau and boulevard Saint-Raymond, by-passing rue de l'Atmosphère and Manoir des Trembles;
  • Buses will run every 15 minutes during peak periods in the main direction and every 30 minutes weekdays outside of peak periods;
  • The schedule for this route will be aligned with that for route 34, providing for a combined frequency of every 15 minutes outside of peak periods.

Route 39

  • This route's circuit will not change.

Route 49

  • This route's circuit will not change.

Route 50

  • This route's circuit will not change.
