System overview

Because of the slowdown in bus fleet maintenance over the past several weeks, unfortunately not all Société de transport de l'Outaouais (STO) buses are ready for the road. During this transition period, trip cancellations should still be anticipated for a few weeks. Daily efforts are being made to implement all means available to return to normal service as soon as possible. In addition, fare compensation for riders will continue until April 30, 2017.
During the week, until further notice, riders should check the tables at sto.ca listing the trips that have been cancelled during the morning and evening peak periods. If resources become available, everything will be done to provide these trips. Any other additional, unexpected cancellations will be announced by personalized System-Info alerts. This information will also be available at www.sto.ca or m.sto.ca.

Morning peak period:

* 9 trips cancelled in the system.

* 5 buses unavailable.

* Average delay of less than 5 minutes.

Afternoon peak period:

*20 cancelled trips are confirmed due to 11 buses being unavailable at the beginning of the peak period and possible additional unexpected cancellations to be announced by personalized System-Info alerts. The unavailable buses had had minor and major defects reported that are currently being repaired. However, during peak periods, this number may drop as all buses that are made safe and become available are put back into service without delay.

* The STO will use the personalized System-Info alerts to announce any additional, unplanned trip cancellations, but cannot guarantee that it will be able to announce last-minute cancellations.
