Rapibus : Bilan du 25 octobre 2013

Yesterday during the afternoon rush hour

  • The 10 trips added on route 200 yesterday resolved the situation. The schedule will be adjusted to keep these extra trips. This measure made it possible to address the overloading noted on other routes and considerably reduced the waiting time in Ottawa.
  • 1 trip added on route 71 at De la Cité station.
  • The STO is looking at solutions to help buses adhere to the schedule for routes 93, 95 and 97 in the Buckingham and Masson-Angers sectors.

Today during the morning rush hour

  • Because of lower ridership on Fridays, the 2 trips added on route 200 at De la Gappe station were sufficient.
  • The STO is looking at solutions to help buses adhere to the travel times published in the timetables for routes 93, 95 and 97 in the Buckingham and Masson-Angers sectors. Higher ridership than on old route 98 has been noted on new route 95.

Miscellaneous information about infrastructures

  • The radiant heating turns on when the temperature drops to 5°C in all the stations equipped with this system.
  • Until permanent furniture is installed, the STO will install temporary bus shelters on the local platforms at De la Cité and De la Gappe stations.
  • The signs on the variable message systems at the stations and the voice announcement system on the articulated buses are temporarily interrupted for calibration.

Traffic lights

  • The work currently being done to optimize the traffic lights along the Rapibus corridor improves traffic fluidity, especially near the Casino station.
