Starting this Saturday let the STO Take You to Winterlude

Published : 01-29-2015

The Société de transport de l'Outaouais (STO) invites young and old to take advantage of the free shuttle during the 37th edition of Winterlude taking place in Gatineau and Ottawa from January 30 to February 16, 2015.

“With the Sno-Bus, public transit is without a doubt the best option for getting to this great winter festival safely and without having to worry about finding parking. Last year alone, close to 44,000 passengers took advantage of the STO's Sno-Bus to get directly to the festival site,” stated Gilles Carpentier, Chairman of the STO.

Running on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the shuttles will offer ongoing service from the incentive parking lot at Robert Guertin Centre to Jacques Cartier Park. People will also be able to get to Confederation Park on Laurier in Ottawa on the shuttle service provided jointly with OC Transpo that leaves from the Snowflake Kingdom.

The Robert Guertin Centre park-and-ride offers free parking for motorists, where they can leave their vehicles and board a Sno-Bus. The STO would like to remind everyone that the shuttles will be accessible for people with reduced mobility since buses with access ramps will serve all trips.

In addition, the Family fare will be available every weekend of Winterlude. This fare allows up to four children aged 11 or under to travel for free when accompanied by an adult with a valid transit pass.
